Holy crap it’s been a while

September 14th, 2010 by Richard Chudy

So sorry, dear readers, (all 2 of you) it’s been a busy few weeks. Been working tirelessly on a food truck proposal to the City of Boston, because really, who wouldn’t want a food truck run by the Boston Burger Blog team?! ¬†Also been trying to perfect cooking a burger at home (much easier said than done, if you want consistency that is) and have some killer recipes that I hope to share with you. Anyway, looking forward to putting some content back on the website, so get ready for it. Here are some topics I hope to touch on, comments are always welcome;

Is a burger just a burger?

    Have you read this article on nytimes about the ultimate burger? It has lots of good tips – especially if you don’t have a grill at home – and the BEST burger bun recipe from Comme Ca in LA. (I have a batch rising on the counter now!) http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/01/dining/01burg.html?ref=dining

    Also, have you tried the Inferno burger at Eagles’s Deli in Cleveland Circle? I just moved to Boston, but it’s my favorite find so far…

    • I have seen that article, it’s great. I really dislike Eagles Deli, all about the portion size (and frozen patties) and nothing about the quality. Thanks for the tips though, keep ’em coming and welcome to Boston!

    On a burger note – finally went to In and Out burger while in LA last week. What a disappointment. All the hype about how great this place is, it was just OK. Definitely no interest in heading back…

    Love your blog, especially when you provide details (unlike Yelp where it seems only rants are provided) about the burgers and setting. Love In and Out Burger too!

    What are some of your favorite fail-safe local burger joints, a place or two you go back to time and time again? Or the place that is not well-known that you wish more people would check out?
